Fresh off his historic victory at the Masters, where he completed the career Grand Slam, Rory McIlroy is set to make his return to Canada for the RBC Canadian Open. The Northern Ireland native, already a two-time champion of the tournament, will join top Canadian golfers such as Corey Conners, Mackenzie Hughes, Taylor Pendrith, Adam Hadwin, and 2023 champion Nick Taylor at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley in Caledon, Ontario this June.
The 2025 RBC Canadian Open, taking place from June 4 to June 8, will be McIlroy’s first appearance at the event since his Masters win. McIlroy is one of only five golfers to have won four major championships in the Masters era, joining the ranks of golf legends like Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, and Ben Hogan. After adding the Masters title to his career, McIlroy will be aiming for another trophy at one of Canada’s most prestigious golfing events.
This year’s tournament, Canada’s oldest and third-longest running golf event after the U.S. Open and The Open Championship, will take place at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley. This is the first time the event will be held at this renowned venue, which is home to three of Canada’s top 25 courses.
The 2024 RBC Canadian Open was won by Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre, while Canadian Nick Taylor claimed the title in 2023. McIlroy, who won the tournament back-to-back prior to the pandemic, also holds the tournament’s all-time aggregate score record.
Tickets for the 2025 RBC Canadian Open are now available, and golf fans can score a spot to see McIlroy and other top players compete in this exciting event.
