For the second day in a row, Burlington residents are experiencing long wait times at advance voting locations as voter turnout remains high.
On Saturday, April 19, many residents reported lengthy lineups at polling stations across the city. The delays come after similar scenes on Friday, when some voters at Brant Hills Community Centre waited over an hour to cast their ballots.
By Saturday morning, wait times of around 30 minutes were being reported, with certain locations like Aldershot Arena seeing voters queued for up to 45 minutes on Friday morning.
Despite the inconvenience, the high turnout reflects strong civic engagement ahead of election day. Advance voting continues through the weekend, and election officials are encouraging voters to be patient and plan ahead.
