A devastating workplace incident at a chemical plant on Harvester Road has resulted in the tragic death of a man who was injured last Thursday. The Ministry of Labour has officially confirmed the unfortunate passing of the victim.
The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon at ControlChem, situated just west of Appleby Line. Emergency services including Halton police, Burlington Fire Department, and EMS swiftly responded to the scene. Consequently, roads in the vicinity were temporarily closed to facilitate the investigation.
The injured man, while on duty at ControlChem, was involved in a critical accident that led to his hospitalization. Reports initially suggested that the incident involved a chemical leak, prompting immediate medical attention.
Regrettably, despite efforts to save his life, the man succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. The Ministry of Labour has initiated an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
